☆Elissa Hoffman
My name is Elissa and I am from Adelaide, Australia. I am 34 years old and have lived in Japan for about 1 year. I studied law and psychology at university. In Australia, I worked for the government. Before I came to Japan, I had no teaching experience. However, I really enjoy teaching at Morioka Chuo High School because it is very fun and interesting! When I am not at school, I enjoy travelling, hiking and eating! I don’t eat meat, but I love fruit, vegetables, cheese, bread and sweets. My favourite Japanese foods are inari sushi, anything edamame flavour, soba, and warabi mochi. Although my Japanese level is low at the moment, I am studying so I can improve. If you see me around, please come and say hello!

Three things I like about Japan are okonomiyaki, hot springs, and festivals. I really liked Akita Kanto matsuri. Three things I don’t like about Japan are natto, matcha, and the humidity. Let’s talk with each other about our favorite things. I hope to see you at Morioka Chuo!
